Today
Holland, Michigan was settled in 1847. Holland was originally a
Dutch immigrant enclave-hence the Windmill logo and strange spelling
of "welkom." For 150 years, agriculture and industry have
been partners in an economy of vitality and expansion.
It is nestled along Lake Macatawa, an inland lake just behind protecting
sand dunes rising along Lake Michigan's eastern shore.
