Biography

I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow in the Radiation Oncology - Physics department at the University of Michigan medical school working with professors Yue Cao and James Balter. I am currently working on patient-induced geometric distortion correction in MRI for radiation therapy.

I received my Ph.D. (Sep. 2013) in Electrical Engineering:Sytems at the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. My research advisor was professor Jeffrey Fessler. I worked on magnetic resonance (MR) image reconstruction with main focus on field inhomogeneity and ghost artifact correction. I have also worked on image restoration (de-noising/de-blurring) problems.

I received my M.S.E. (May 2009) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and my B.Sc. (Nov. 2006) also in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece).

My current research interests include applications of MRI in radiation therapy, model-based image reconstruction for MRI, biomedical imaging, and statistical image and signal processing.
