  • Mar 2017: I was selected as a Barbour Scholar for the 2017-2018 academic year.

About me

I am a fifth year PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I am coadvised by Prof. Jeffrey A. Fessler and Prof. James M Balter from the Radiation Oncology department.

My research has been focus on optimizing MRI for radiotherapy, which involves developing both image reconstruction and image analysis techniques.

In general, I am interested in the interface between engineering and healthcare. Here is my CV.

Research

My research projects have included

  • Accelerated high b-value diffusion weighted MRI for higher order diffusion analysis

    • We proposed a phase-constrained low-rank tensor model that exploits both local and global low-rank structures

    • 1st place in young investigator competition of 2017 AAPM GLC chapter meeting

  • Synthetic Computational Tomography (CT) generation from MRI

    • Our approach is based on modeling shape and intensity features of different tissues/structures in MRI

    • 2nd place in young investigator competition of the 4th MR in RT Symposium and 2016 UM Engineering Graduate Symposium

  • Joint tissue classification and intensity non-uniformity correction of multi-contrast MRI

    • 2nd place in young investigator competition of the 2nd MR in RT Symposium
