With the advent of the internet, there is now a wealth of meteorological data one's fingertips.  In fact, all of this data can make things a bit overwhelming for the beginning forecaster.  For this reason, I have put together this web set to help out those in the our AOSS 440 class who are learning to forecast for the first time.  In time, each of you will develop your own methodology and data resources to use when analyzing the current meteorological conditions and model forecasts.  There is no way to present all of the forecasting techniques commonly used right at the start of the term, as we will not have covered much of the background material necessary to properly understand and apply these techniques.  Instead, I will be presenting these various techniques as we cover the related background material.
